Bobby Jasoos is poorly scripted

It starts amidst high expectations with  Bobby (Vidya Balan) disguised as a Muslim clergy taking pictures of a couple and then mingling in the crowd, where she changes her disguise. The next few minutes show how a private detective agency refuses to hire her as she is not qualified to be a detective and how her own family members shun her for opting to be a detective.

All this only adds to Bobby's zeal to be a successful professional and she sets up shop as a detective along with two assistants. One fine morning, opportunity comes knocking at her doorsteps as a wealthy man in a car lands up at her shop and gives her a project.

- Film raises questions over ethics involved in detective work - should a detective take up a project without knowing the how the findings will be used or for what purpose is the project being carried out?

- Film also raises points on acceptance of unconventional career options such as jasoosi by a Muslim female in a conservative society like

- Movie does well to hold the suspense till the end
- However, the climax is weak and unconvincing
- Also, Vidya proves that she can act very well
- Poor soundtrack of the movie doesn't add much to entertainment quotient
